Gli switch Ethernet PoE di tipo industriale di Perle sono progettati per applicazioni di automazione industriale, governative, militari, petrolifere e del gas, estrattive e all'aperto.
Inoltre questi switch PoE sono classificati come Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE). Oltre a sfruttare cavi UTP standard che trasportano i dati tramite Ethernet, lo switch IDS-108FPP ha anche 4 porte che forniscono fino a 30 watt di alimentazione a Powered Devices (PD) come punti di accesso wireless, telefoni VoIP e videocamere IP. IDS-108FPP è uno switch Ethernet industriale dotato di 8 o 10 porte con alimentazione Power over Ethernet che fornisce prestazioni avanzate e consente operazioni deterministiche in rete in tempo reale. Non necessita di configurazione ed è immediatamente operativo non appena viene acceso.
