Un server IOLAN SDG, che garantisce elevate prestazioni in dimensioni compatte, offre funzioni di sicurezza complete, flessibilità e tecnologia IPv6 di nuova generazione ed è quindi la soluzione ideale per le applicazioni remote di gestione di console/dispositivi, acquisizione dati o monitoraggio. Tra i device server seriali IOLAN sono anche disponibili modelli con modem V.92 integrato, supporto per alimentazione Ethernet (PoE), Classe 1 Zone 2 o per gamme di temperature operative più estese.

Connettività seriale sicura
I Device Server IOLAN SDG consentono agli amministratori di accedere in modo sicuro alle porte console seriali remote di dispositivi quali PBX, server, router, sistemi storage in rete e apparecchiature di sicurezza tramite una rete IP. Le informazioni relative alla gestione dei dati sono protette da protocolli di crittografia standard quali SSH (Secure Shell) e SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). L'accesso da parte degli utenti autorizzati è garantito tramite protocolli di autenticazione quali RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS e dai token SecurID di RSA Security.
Grazie all'impiego delle tecnologie di crittografia, un server IOLAN protegge i dati sensibili e riservati inviati da un dispositivo seriale quale un lettore di carte di credito prima di inviarli su una rete intranet aziendale o sulla rete Internet pubblica. Per garantire la compatibilità con i dispositivi peer per la cifratura, sono supportati tutti i principali algoritmi di crittografia quali AES, 3DES, RC4, RC2 e CAST128.
Riconosciuto come il metodo più sicuro per comunicare via Internet con reti private remote, lo standard IPSec prevede efficaci meccanismi di autenticazione e cifratura dei pacchetti IP al livello rete del modello OSI. Questo standard è l'ideale per garantire l'interoperabilità fra dispositivi di marche diverse all'interno di una rete e offre la versatilità necessaria per fornire la soluzione più idonea per una determinata applicazione.
Plug-in per dispositivi di Perle
I Device Server IOLAN di Perle garantiscono che praticamente qualsiasi apparecchiatura dotata di porta seriale COM funzioni nell'applicazione desiderata esattamente come funzionava quando era collegata direttamente. Nella remota eventualità che questo non avvenga automaticamente, ci penserà Perle.
Grazie all'innovativa tecnologia ACE™ (Adaptive Communication Engine), i device server IOLAN Perle fanno uso di "plug-in per dispositivi" installabili dal cliente per consentire il collegamento in rete delle apparecchiature laddove altre soluzioni hanno fallito. Tecnologia IP avanzata
Grazie al supporto IP di nuova generazione (IPv6), la gamma device server IOLAN assicura la protezione dell'investimento garantendo la compatibilità con questo standard sempre più diffuso.
La richiesta del protocollo IPv6, compatibile con gli schemi di indirizzamento del protocollo IPv4, è stimolata dalla necessità di aumentare la disponibilità di indirizzi IP. Con l'implementazione e il lancio delle nuove rete avanzati per cellulari, serve un metodo efficace per gestire l'enorme afflusso di nuovi dispositivi indirizzabili tramite numero IP su Internet. Il Dipartimento della difesa statunitense ha addirittura disposto che tutte le apparecchiature acquistate debbano essere compatibili con IPv6. Inoltre, tutti i principali sistemi operativi quali Windows, Linux, Unix e Solaris, nonché i router, dispongono di supporto integrato per IPv6.
È quindi importante che utenti finali e integratori scelgano apparecchiature per il networking predisposte per lo standard IPv6. La linea IOLAN con supporto IPv6 già integrato è la soluzione migliore per quanto riguarda la tecnologia di conversione da seriale a Ethernet.
Connessioni da seriale a Ethernet versatili e affidabili
Un device server IOLAN SDG è in grado di stabilire pseudo connessioni a server tramite applicazioni basate su socket Telnet, Rlogin, UDP o TCP per collegarsi a dispositivi remoti. Quando un'applicazione residente su server deve accedere a porte TTY o COM fisse, il software Trueport di Perle fornito in dotazione con ogni device server reindirizza le porte COM sulle reti IP ai device server Perle remoti in modalità crittografata o in chiaro.
Il controllo e la gestione centralizzati di più installazioni vengono effettuati mediante il software di gestione dei dispositivi Perle, garantendo tempi di operatività ottimali per le apparecchiature remote.
I server IOLAN SDG dispongono di protezione aggiuntiva contro le scariche elettrostatiche e le sovratensioni grazie a efficaci circuiti di protezione da 15 kV che consentono di utilizzare questa soluzione anche sul campo in piena sicurezza.
